The sets were fantastic! Used real furniture of course, lots of corners. Good use of strobelights and blacklight paint. And the cast's makeup was AMAZING. I had to resist the urge to ask who did their makeup. The clowns especially were good. And one of them was real good looking. Yeeeeeah. Wish I had given him my number--would've been odd to stop there and give it to him, though...(if he reads this, I think he had a red mohawk, hard to see in strobelights.)

The crazy doctor's assistant asked my friend and I what was wrong, why we were in to see the doctor. My friend said chronic headaches. He told her to stop tying her weave so tight. I said my knee hurt. He said I should stay off them. D:

The actors invading personal space was soooo great. I frequently had a monster within inches of my face. I shrieked every time. They were so good at that.

The only trouble was the dinner table. (Psst, noodles and extra thick blood!) What?

I give it an A-.

I was VERY skeptical about going to this place since i live in Grafton is kind of a far drive but it was easily worth the money. BEST haunted house ive ever been to. All of the "monsters" do an amzing job of acting. You wont be disapointed :D

Overall it was the best house i ever been to! I mean it scared thecrap out of me, and my personal favorites were the pitch-black hall ways, the many exit doors, the begining with the dead bride, and the the morgue! Who ever is going there next, be ready to be scared, and dont chew gum inside! Because i did and I inhaled my gum and i swallowed it. :-/ Bye!

P.S. I'm fourteen-years-old and i live on the north side of Milwaukee, so i was so attracted to this i traveled about a half hour to have fun!

The overall rating we would give this haunted house is a B+.

The time it took us to get through the milton's house was only 17 minutes. Yes it was full of loud and constant screams, we agreed after that it should be much longer.

The cross-dresser was a good relief because he made us laugh. Before we got to the room he had overheard my name and used it to get our attention.

The dark rooms are a good idea, but mybe have a little more light so you can see the walls you might run into.

The actors did a great job of staying in character, because i was freaking out and it was probably hard not to laugh at me.

The clowns weren't very scary because all they did was honk their horns.

Overall it gave us a good scare!!

Subject:GREAT, MUST GO!!!!

I go to haunted houses everywhere from Oconomowoc, Hartford, Fond du lac, and Sheboygan. Mars Haunted House was one of the BEST haunted houses I have been to in a long time. I hate when I spend money expecting to be scared only to leave feeling riped off, but that was not the case at this place. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE AND MONEY!!! The sets and monsters were great and really scary. It wasn't cheesy like so many of the haunted houses are. The great thing about this place is you never knew what was going to happen next, not only did the people in front get scared so did the people at the end of the group as well. The monsters even had us laughing at some of their funny lines. If I was guarantied that every haunted house would be as great as this one was, I would go every weekend. FYI, touch it or she will scream:)

Signage / Visibility / Location
Easy to find based on the line forming around the block and the creepy people roaming the line

Wait Area / Line Entertainment
The waiting area was roped off, the wait was only about 20min, which it was well worth what we experienced inside

Most Unique
The rooms were so detailed and not "cheezy" most places have yard decorations and random fake spiders everywhere. This place was like the set of a movie, and every scene got more and more scary

Actors' Performance
AWESOME! I screamed so much my throat hurt the next day, you never knew where they were coming from or if they would be following you

Additional Comments
if you don't like clowns this place isn't for you! that's the only hint u get!

Wait Area / Line Entertainment
The area outside is a bit scary all on its own. Interesting sights just people watching while in line. The actor working the line had an awesome makeup job and really was terrific. He stayed in character, got up close and personal, and is a top-notch actor. Props to you buddy!

Most Unique
I think the most unique thing about this haunt is the variety of scares.

Actors' Performance
The slithering actors were great. TV person...you especially. The little girl that could "see me" was awesome. Finally, even weeks later, the actress I remember was the psycho chick. She flew at me and was so realistic. I can't tell you how great you did that night. Were you running or were you flying?

Mars is on its 13th year of scaring the "crap" out of people and this year proves to be NO exception ... and I mean that literally! The 13 year old girl in the group ahead of us did just that (icky poo)! Another girl in the group ahead of us had to leave early because she was hyperventilating.
The actor's performance was some of the best I have seen yet! Their passion for fear begins in line where the ghoul was spewing blood at us, and continues to the very end where a female ghoul in a shrieking voice begged us not to leave. What makes this haunt most frightening is the 'in your face, make you jump' type of scares. I honestly spent most of the time trying not to bury my face in my husbands sweater! The actor flying off the dr.'s table with the round loud saw really convinced me and my husband that our limbs were next! At certain points I felt surrounded and there were loud noises with bursts of air that made me actually feel like they were grasping us! As everyone knows actors are not allowed to touch you, but I felt this was a very creative use of prop's to give the sensation of being caught.

The length is typical of most haunted houses, but you rarely find yourself simply walking down a dark hallway. So every minute is well worked out effectively.

As far as crowd control goes, we went in as a group of two which I feel makes you feel more "alone" ... however the group in front of us requested to go in as 8 and they were allowed. I am not certain if this will change as the season becomes busier.

In conclusion ... Mar's knows what to do and when to do it! I strongly recommend this haunt for anyone who likes great acting and "in your face scares". I do NOT recommend this haunted house for anyone with 'weak bowels' ;)

Signage / Visibility / Location
This is my 3rd year attending this haunt so personally I have the directions down. But I remember the first time it was a bit tricky! There are no large signs and the only indication of a haunt is the line of people outside. However it is right off of Interstate 94, on the corner of 8th and 'historic' Mitchell St. On a busier night parking may be difficult as there was NO designated parking area, we just parked in a spot on the street in front.

Wait Area / Line Entertainment - Score: 3
There are no concessions, but there ARE ghouls ... and they are pretty intense. Students in front of us were being scared right out of line and off into the distance! You will wait outside on the sidewalk so you can also find entertainment in the locals walking/driving by ;) Since we were at "Mars" on opening night and right as they opened the wait was not long. But I do know from past experience to expect a much longer wait as the season progresses! There is a port a poty :)

Actors' Performance - Score: 5
From the very beginning the actors are in character and on cue! All the actors are being PAID for what they do so there is always that added incentive to bring out the inner demon! I'm still shaking from the intensity! WOW

Sets / Scenes / Props / FX - Score: 5
The props were well thought out and made to make you jump! Creepy loud circular saws and "air blowers" that make you feel like the actors are actually touching you! Brains, guts, dead bodies ... ick!

Length - Score: 4
It took us about 15 minutes to finish the haunt. Although this may seem short, the quality makes up for what other haunts may fill with nonsense.

Crowd Control - Score: 5
We went in just two of us and loved it ... the group of 13/14 yr olds in front of us requested to go in as a group of 8.

Most Memorable Moment
Oh my ... I am still laughing ... I mean at first 'it' scared me ... then when you get a good look you can not help but laugh, I don't want to give it away ... but 'it' propositioned my husband ... so funny, and such great acting!

Mars is a very popular house in the Milwaukee area with good reason. They give haunt-goers intense scares and know what works. If you are the type of person who goes to one haunt a year on your way to other things, Mars Haunted House fits the bill. Lots of actors populate the rooms which include great change of pace comedy skits as well as all out sensory assaults. If you are in back be wary of the sneak and scream where a girl follows you down a dark hall and makes your head split open by screaming bloody murder.

Overall I give this haunt a three and a half out of five.

Signage / Visibility / Location
This haunted house is on a main street, but signage is minimal. On most nights this season it will be pretty obvious because the lines out front run deep and the street along the haunt gets a little rowdy.

Wait Area / Line Entertainment - Score: 3
No line because it was opening night. The only people outside were imposing security guards. Upstairs, before going in, a maid gave us the rules and she had phenomenal grotesque face makeup (which makes it surprisingly difficult to pay attention to her, but you've probably heard the rules before).

Actors' Performance - Score: 3
Mars is an in-your-face type of haunted house. This makes the first half of the haunted house very intense. However, towards the end I became numb to continuous ear splitting screams and surprise attacks. I'm pretty sure that there is a hell-spawn portal somewhere in the house spewing out identical 15 year old girls with invincible vocal cords. The mad surgeon was the best actor in this haunt and posed like a wax figure until we were all in the room.

Sets / Scenes / Props / FX - Score: 5
Impressive detail was noticeable in all rooms and sets, and I definitely lingered in certain areas for a better look. Actors wore custom contacts, netting hung down from the ceilings, blood and guts might as well have been real, and neon and blacklights were in full effect. From funny, to scary, to straight up gross, everything worked very well. An example of great design is the clown room. Slow strobes are really disorienting and allow the actors to move positions, I'm not even coulorophobic but the clowns were very unsettling. Air cannons are used in more than one room and a very useful device for haunts to physically interact with victims without touching them.

Length - Score: 4
Mars lasted about 20 minutes but it seemed longer because of the back-to-back-to-back screaming.

Crowd Control - Score: 4
There were no issues with crowd control while I was there. Inside the haunt, there was a crazy dark and disorienting maze which made groups back up. I'm not a big fan of these mazes, but it was well done as long as you don't mind bumping into your friends awkwardly

Most Memorable Moment
The toxic construction room (do those two things even go together?) embodied everything this haunt does well. Frightening gas masks, loud noises, and surprises gave me at least a two room disorientation hangover.
